This year, Christmas was very different, mainly because of COVID-19, and being in Tier 4 Lockdown. Although it wasn't the same as other years, we still had a great time.
Normally for Christmas, we would go to church in the morning, then eat some breakfast. We would then meet up with all the family, exchange gifts, and have a MASSIVE Christmas dinner. First, we would have the drinks and starters and then the roast would come out. After the roast, Nanny would bring out the pork curry and rice- I know, it's a LOT of food. When the main course is done, everyone would literally fall asleep. Then, Jasmine and I would wake everyone up for tea and dessert. After dessert, we would open our remaining gifts and play some games. We would call our international family, and nearly everyone would sleep over at either our house or Nanny and Pappa's house, depending on who is hosting Christmas.
Anyway, that is a normal Christmas day. Read on for what this year was like.
For Christmas this year, it was very quiet without everyone. Uncle Ashley popped round in the morning to drop round some presents, and we had a couple of family Zoom calls too. The only problem was, we had bought a 5.8kg turkey along with a joint of beef and pork, and no one to share it with, as we were only 4 around the dinner table! 😂🤣We still had a great day, and a delicious dinner too. In the afternoon, we did online Mass and then played some family games on Zoom. The turkey was so good and so were all of the trimmings. We had to freeze the beef and pork, because it would've been too much food on top of the huge bird! My favourite gift from Santa was probably my new Samsung Galaxy tab, which is EPIC!! Despite missing all of our family this year, we still had an awesome time.
